Why I built SurfaceShield
Throughout my years examining internet systems, I noticed a consistent pattern: small businesses are caught in a difficult middle ground. Large security firms rarely give small companies personalized attention, often assigning junior trainees who run off-the-shelf automated vulnerability scanners and produce overwhelming, unvetted 200-page reports.
Meanwhile, automated SaaS scanning platforms lack the human judgment required to distinguish between an alarming-looking cosmetic warning and a genuinely catastrophic exposure vector.
SurfaceShield was created to provide a thoughtful alternative: a boutique, senior-level consultancy where small businesses receive careful, manual, and ethically bounded assessments. Every finding is verified by hand, clearly explained in terms of actual business risk, and backed by concrete steps for resolution.
